As opposed to who? Super special sparkly princess Bennet? Ho Bennnet? Also, her mother and brother are DEAD TO HER.
I ended up having fun with friends rather than watching the rest of 'HEROES' last night. Apparently it was a win-win decision , since Mohinder was, from what I've read, a no-show. Ramamurthy, YOU LIE!
My boyfriend said he would decide if he would keep watching it after the premiere. Since neither one of us made it past the first Parkman scene I highly doubt he'll ever sit through another episode. Truth be told, I've really only kept watching over the last season for glimpses of Sendhil's gorgeous face and bouncing curls.
Its a pity, really. Watching it in HD is a visual feast. The filming is gorgeous, the scenes, sets, lighting and actors are great. It's too bad I have no love for any of the characters anymore. I remember when HEROES was fun. 'Parasite' had me jumping off the couch more than once. 'Powerless' was also a tension-fest. The Mohinder and Sylar scenes were the best, and It's sad that they managed to destroy both characters last season, along with the rest of the main characters. 1961 even saw the crapification of Angela Petrelli. I didn't think it was even possible to ruin her character but they somehow did.
I know the studios completely scr*wed over the writers mid-season2 so maybe it is deliberate. Killing off Adam (David Anders) and Elle (Kristen Bell) especially seems like someone was trying to sabotage the show. The actors added their own viewers to the show and could have kept some watching in hopes that they would see them again, much like a certain Sendhil and his rare but dazzling ~`*Sunshine Smile of Shiny*`~ kept me tuning in. Speaking of which, I know it happened a long time ago, but...
Said adorable geneticist breaking character to DELIBERATELY INJECT HIMSELF with an untested substance that MUTATES DNA because he is SUDDENLY insanely jealous of 'special' people like Maya?
Realy? That is just.... Also, the safest place for disposal of potentially hazardous materials is the ocean. Got that, kids? Someone was definitely trying to get me to stop watching and convince viewers that the ocean is just a magical toilet instead of a vast and mostly unexplored ecosystem. And giving Mo scabs as his 'lizard' transformation when they could have been cool anime dragon scales? Why would anyone do that? Talk about fan disservice and a wasted opportunity.
And Sylar? Sylar now has both ~Empathy~ and ~The Hunger~ so it's pretty much impossible to take his character seriously anymore. Maybe he ditched either or both while I wasn't paying attention, so I may be wrong on this.
Peter, Nathan and HRG neither thrill nor annoy me for the most part. They are okay to watch but I won't miss them. I do find HRG's obsession with his daughter kinda borderline creepy.
I kind of zone out during Claire and Parkman scenes because they bore the #$@* out of me. It's crazy because Parkman can paint the future, read minds, command people to do his bidding, bury them in their nightmares forever and even put a mind whammy on the invincible but empathy/hunger driven Sylar. Yet every time I see him, all I can think of is him nagging. Nagging his wife, his partner, Mohinder, Molly, Instalove™Daphne...
Hiro ... 'If you want something done right, do it yourself," is his defining line from last night. It's not a line that makes you like a person. In fact, it's not just a line, but a cliche'd saying, much like the zingers, "We'll agree to disagree," and "It's your dime." The character Mohinder was gifted with these gems in 'Fugitives'. One was a pithy retort to having a gun to the back of his head. Can you guess which one? Though nothing quite tops the bizarre football-oriented one-liner Clair delivered before jumping out a window, as she is wont to do. It would have been awesome if she would have shouted out "A penny saved is a penny earned!" on the way down, though.
Ando. I still like Ando. It's too bad that they gave him powers but at least they didn't give him a nasty rash and make him act weird. The Haitian isn't a regular but I like him. I'm kinda glad he isn't a regular, because they'd probably make him HRG's faithful minion or to kill him off so he wouldn't cut into Clair time.
Nikki/Jessica/Gina/Tracy/Barbara... Ali is an excellent actress and I envy her abs. I don't think Heroes has many female writers.
Okay. This turned into mostly a rant. Sorry if I've wasted anyone's time. One last nip... Shouldn't people of color and non-Americans on HEROES be wearing red shirts? ... D8 ... OH NO, I DIDN'T!
Looks like Mondays are gonna be TV free again unless I get hooked on House or HIMYM. NPH IS hilarious.
On the upside, I watched Psych's Bollywood Homicide 3 times already and laughed hysterically each time. Sendhil was in it and it was AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME! With Awesomesauce on top.
